Life in Alaska
Home | Life in Alaska

Love is in the air in Alaska! Even Alaskan brown bears, who are typically solitary creatures, are dreamy-eyed. (Granted, we caught these two stealing a hug back in June, but we like to imagine they are snuggled close, snoring through this Valentine's Day.)

From bear hugs to puppy love, let us share our life in Alaska with you. Everyday living in the last frontier is an adventure. From dodging moose on our way to work to majestic eagles flying overhead, we never know what exciting experience is in store for us. If you have visited our amazing state, we're sure you will relate to the unique situations, breathtaking scenery and thrilling wildlife encounters we will share. If you have never been here, be prepared to see a glimpse of this wild, whimsical, wonderful land in which we live.

If you know someone (or are someone) who needs a great big bear hug, we've got a claw-free solution. Our soft adult nightshirts and infant onesies in pink or light blue will make a great gift for that special someone this Valentine's Day.

These two sled dogs were waiting for their teammates to be harnessed when this adorable embrace occurred. The temperature was hovering at 0º F and the black and white dog seemed to have its heat seeking radar on. The brown dog didn't seem to mind the fur wrap effect either - Alaskan symbiosis at its best.
